PK99611: CM ANALYZE FAILS WITH MSGADM3000E ERROR PROCESSING SYNONYM IN CREATE STATEMENT: OBJECT ALREADY EXISTS

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool Change Management ( CM ) ANALYZE
  fails with message similar to the following:
  .
  ADB3000E Error processing Synonym KAUL5.SWK9321A1 in
           CREATE statement: Object already exists
  .
  Using DB2 Object Compare ( OC ) DDL input that contains a VIEW
  and a SYNONYM based on that VIEW. When only the VIEW is changed,
  OC puts the SYNONYM into the changes file, and ANALYZE VALIDATE
  routine fails rc8 rc08 in WSLVAL7 jobstep.

  The Object Comparison Tool Analyze processing
  recreates the view and the synonym of the view
  because of the ADMIN drop/create of the view,
  solely. The delta file contains an unnecessary
  synonym statement.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Object Comparison Tool was changed to
  correct this problem.
