    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Use of IC2 and Flash Copy are not *

DRF uses DFSMS to recover the IC2, but it must be to the
original production. The enhancement allows customer to use
IC2 as input to duplicate the databases. The support to Flash
Copy with OUTPUT(DUP) is also enhanced.

Comments

  • FRXRDTH0 is modified to allow IC2 as valid input for
OUTPUT(DUP). FRXISMS0 is modified to build the restore command
with RENAMEU for IC2 and Flash Copy. FRXIOSM0 and FRXIVSM0 are
modified to process the data with IC2 and Flash Copy. FRXGRDS0
and FRXGRPT0 are modifed for the report, and FRXPSDS0, FRXPDSR0,
FRXEPQS0 and the macro FRXRIPL are modified or recompiled to
    coordinate the changes.

The DRF User's Guide, SC18-9407-04, needs to be modified. The
names of IC2 and FLASH COPY need to be REMOVED from the
    following areas:

In chapter 15, FRD4284E, INVALID IC TYPE FOR OUTPUT TO COPY:
The recover-to-copy function OUTPUT(DUP) does not support
user-ICs, IC2s, Flash Copies, or other SMS-type ICs as input.

    In chapter 3 and 18, OUTPUT(DUP | ICR | ICRCA | PRO | BOTH)
Restriction: Use of user-ICs, IC2 ICs, SAMEDS ICs, or FlashCopy
ICs are not supported with this function.

The following statement needs to be added to Chapter 12, Sample
Reports, in every 'Records Read' field in Summary Report, and
'Read Count" field in Data Set I/O Report:

If Flash Copy, the read count will be 'N/A'
