PK98779: OMPE ICAT V310.12 BUFFER POOL CUSTOMIZATION ISSUE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer has some issues with ICAT attempting to specify DB2
  Storage Group & Buffer Pool in PWH configuration:
  
  When I execute ICAT, the Buffer Pool for CONTROL is set to BP0.
  I overtype it with BP44, then execute "Create/Clone batch mode
  parameters", but there is no values assigned in the INSTJOBS
  deck.
  
  In INSTDATA(KCICTTMP), I find the value set to &STR(BP0),
  even after I change this to BP44, & execute CICATB, the
  definition is still not generated in INSTJOBS.
  
  When I change the value on the panel KD261PW and then "CREATE
  RUNTIME MEMBERS", the correct data is shown in the PWHRxxxx
  member to be created.
  
  But when I create the BATCH MODE PARAMETERS from opt "Z
  utilities" there is no new definitions and so when I run
  CICATB, it returns to BP0
