Error description

  • QMF will not reformat DATE or TIME column data returned through
    a stored procedure result set.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V8.1 and V9.1 users     *
    *                 that CALL stored procedures which return     *
    *                 date or time data in a result set and        *
    *                 have applied the PTF for APAR PK83145.       *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The fix provided in APAR PK83145 is     *
    *                      not complete. Although it does fix      *
    *                      formatting issues encountered in the    *
    *                      described scenario when they appear     *
    *                      on the first page of the report, it     *
    *                      does not fix formatting issues that     *
    *                      may appear when the report is scrolled  *
    *                      to the right.                           *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    This fix will complete the fix provided in APAR PK83145.
    Date or time data returned in result sets will not be
    reformatted. Please see APAR PK83145 for details.
    

Problem conclusion

  • QMF formatting modules exercised when QMF is formatting wide
    reports were updated to not format date and time data returned
    from result sets. This fix is consistent with the changes made
    for PK83145.
