  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Object Comparison Tool for      *
  *                 z/OS.                                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Currently, Object Compare panels        *
  *                      will allow the user to specify          *
  *                      databases, tablespaces, tables and      *
  *                      schema. It was not possible to          *
  *                      specify objects like indexes or         *
  *                      views.  As a result of a separate       *
  *                      restriction, users were forced to       *
  *                      provide a mask to utilize the           *
  *                      DEFER overwrite.                        *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  With this enhancement, users can now specify a version
  scope that can contain all types of objects like
  databases, tablespaces, tables, indexes, views, stored
  procedures, triggers and so on. While adding objects to
  version scope, the object names can also contain wildcard
  characters. Version scopes will be stored in change
  management tables. This enhancement allows users to
  provide a generic DEFER overwrite without having to
  provide a mask file designation.
  

Problem conclusion

• A panel field has been added that will allow the user to choose
  to build applicable indexes with DEFER YES without requiring the
  user to provide a mask file.
