PK98016: ABEND0C4 CSLSSR20 DURING IMS SHUTDOWN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABENDS0C4 PIC11 CSLSSR20 after label CALLAUTH during an IMS
  shutdown. A BASSR 14,15 is done and REG15 ends up pointing to
  storage that has already been released.
  
  Additional issues addressed:
  1) ABEND0C4 after message " IQC6019I EXTENSION DISCONNECTED FROM
  SCI,IMSID=IMSx" during IMS shutdown.
  The ABEND occurs in the message printing routine IQCCPRTA at
  x'69c' into csect IQCCPRT0.
  2) Tight loop in IQCCPRT0 which involves about 4
  instructions between x'550' and x'55c' when the routine
  is at the PK76971 level.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes 2 problems, both show   *
  *                      on IMS and SCI shutdown.                *
  *                       -QCF3.1 extension registers with SCI   *
  *                      under JOBSTEP TCB, but loads the        *
  *                      message and group exits under CTLX TCB. *
  *                      On IMS shutdown, CTLX TCB shrinks and   *
  *                      deletes the exits, then IMS exits the   *
  *                      SCI group - and SCI sends message to    *
  *                      the QCF group exit (which is not there  *
  *                      any more). To fix the problem the QCF   *
  *                      registration with SCI is made under     *
  *                      CURRENT TCB.                            *
  *                       -SCI connect/disconnect messages for   *
  *                      QCF are written using the same program  *
  *                      that is used by QCF3.1 to write all     *
  *                      other queue protection messages. This   *
  *                      program uses IMS prechained save areas  *
  *                      But when writing the SCI messages - the *
  *                      prechained areas are missing - and      *
  *                      IQCCPRT0 abends with 0C4.               *

  0C4 abend are fixed - both for QCF3.1 group exit and IQCCPRT0
  program

• Install the fix to avoid 0C4 on IMS and SCI shutdown.
