Error description

Application edition management functionality such as
AppManagement.getEditionInfo() method is not accessible via
AppManagement mbean.

The above function allows the user to check for the state of the
edition of an application using wsadmin. However this
functionality is not available via Mbeans or thin-client Java
API.


For java api that is equivalent to wsadmin AdminTask commands
like listEditions and getEditionState for thin-client, customer
can use

EditionInfo[] EditionHelper.getApplicationEditions(String
appname)


EditionInfo object provide edition information of the specified
application. From this EditionInfo object user can also call
EditionInfo.getEditionState()

AppManagement.getEditionInfo() method is not accessible via
AppManagement mbean.

Javadoc for AppManagementProxy.getEditionInfo and
setEditionInfo refer to EditionInfo but EditionInfo is not in
Javadoc.

Problem conclusion

Added WebSphere Application Server specific Javadoc to
EditionInfo class so that it will be publish as part of
WebSphere Application Server's Javadoc.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
