PK97831: APPLYING SAMPLE TEMPLATE GIVES WORKSPACE ERRORS

Error description

• Applying B-01_blue_.htpl template via site designer page in Japa
  nese environment and saving gives two types of errors in Problem
  s tab:

  This appears to be a regression from RBD 7.1. The same error doe
  s not happen when you create a dynamic web project instead of EG
  L project and then perform same steps.
  
  ?To Reproduce?
  
      1. Run RBD 7.5.1.3 using -nl ja switch to emulate Japanese e
  nvironment
      2. File ? New ? Project ? EGL project (accept defaults)
      3. Double-click [Web Site Navigation] and drag 'New Page' to
   editor.
      4. Name as e.g. 'menu' and right-click ? Set Template ? Appl
  y Template
      5. Select Sample Templates ? Family B ? B-01_blue.htpl (actu
  ally default template also causes error)
      6. Deselect Dynamic page template
      7. Finish

  One can use site designer to create templates without errors by
  right-clicking to Set Template ? Apply Template and use the temp
  lates at runtime as in RBD 7.1.

  Errors occur on creation and one cannot use the templates (the t
  emplate features do not display).
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Problem no longer occurs in RBD 7.5.1.5.  This was
  fixed in the underlying RAD 7.5.5.1 code.
  

Problem conclusion

• Templates encoded with MS932 have been provided via Rational
  Application Developer.
  

Temporary fix

• Temporary fix provided to client, since it was a case of
  replacing the templates.
