Error description

• The DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS / Change Management
  function built DROP TABLE / CREATE TABLE instead of ALTER TABLE
  ADD PARTITION when several partitions were added to a table.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Object Compare report               *
  *                      indicates that a DROP/CREATE            *
  *                      will be done to implement a             *
  *                      change in limit keys for a table        *
  *                      that is partitioned by DATE             *
  *                      column. The change can be               *
  *                      accomplished by ALTERs.                 *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  The format of the DATE columns was not handled
  correctly, mistakenly causing the determination
  that the limit keys were overlapping, therefore
  performing a DROP/CREATE.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 Object Compare is changed to correctly handle
  this situation.
