White space in type attributes in a schema cause errors like the
following during application install.

CWLIN1500W: Problems were detected while installing the sd.ear

The Eclipse Modeling Framework is unable to handle
leading and trailing whitespaces for attributes that identify
an element's type. This resulting failure may lead to the
product being unable to process the metadata that is supplied
with an application during its installation.

Problem conclusion

This is a port of EMF Bugzilla Report 170925. A workaround is
to ensure that the type attributes in the metadata do not have
these leading or trailing spaces.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.9.  Please refer to the Recommended
Updates page for delivery information:
