Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS Change Management function
created a CHG file with an incorrect SET CURRENT SCHEMA for a
change which was adding a new fully qualified VIEW e.g.
       CREATE <schema_name_A>.<view_name>
    became
       SET CURRENT PATH = "<schema_name_B>"
       SET CURRENT SCHEMA = '<schema_name_B>'
       CREATE VIEW <view_name>
when an AUTHID MASK was used.

    ****************************************************************
DB2 Object Comparison Tool should use the
masked value of the owner field when deciding
if the view needs to be qualified in the CREATE
    VIEW statement.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 Object Comparison Tool is updated to mask
the owner field before generating the CREATE
    VIEW statement.
Note: For the SET CURRENT SCHEMA
    statement, the DB2 Object Comparison
Tool uses the current schema value from
    the SYSENVIRONMENT table which
    records the environment variables when
    an object is created.
