* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HP Pointer Checker(HDPC) gets abend 0C4 *
*                      in the FABPUADR module because it       *
*                      accesses to an invalid storage area.    *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
****************************************************************
HDPC calls the IDCAMS LISTCAT command. When HDPC attempts to
analyze the report lines returned by the IDCAMS LISTCAT, there
is a possibility that HDPC wrongly refers to storage beyond the
end of the report lines. As the result, HDPC causes abend 0C4.

This error can occur when running HD pointer checking in an HDPC
stand-alone job, an HP Image Copy job, an IMS Parallel
Reorganization (IPR) job, and an Database Recovery Facility
(DRF) job.

Problem conclusion

  • The FABPUADR module is modified to access a correct storage
area.
