Error description

  • OC MIGRATING  FROM INDEX-BASED PARTITIONING TO TABLE-BASED
PARTITIONING IN SOME CASES THE INDEX NEEDS TO BE DROPPED/CREATED
OC generates:
     CREATE    ALTER TABLE ... ALTER PARTITION...
     DROP      ADMIN DROP INDEX OA1A.IMF150H1;
     CREATE    CREATE INDEX OA1A.IMF150H1
which causes index to be dropped first.
Admin drop on index followed by an alter on the table fails in
Merge.

Local fix

  • APPLY PTF.

in Merge in an effort to migrate from index-controlled to
table-controlled partitioning.

Problem conclusion

  • OC APAR PK95225  along with Admin APAR PK95063  will resolve
the issue.
