PK93606: WHEN IMS CEX IS HANDLING IMS CONNECT SECURITY AND RUNNING Z/OS 10.1

Error description

• An abend S878 can occur when IMS Connect Extensions is handling
  IMS Connect security and the level of Z/OS is 10.1.  Storage is
  full of RACF MSGICH70001I messages indicating the last access
  time.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When IMS Connect Extensions is          *
  *                      performing RACF User verification in    *
  *                      a Z/OS 1.10 environment, an abend S878  *
  *                      can occur due to a change in            *
  *                      processing of the MSGRTRN=YES request.  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  When IMS Connect Extensions is performing RACF User
  verification in a Z/OS 1.10 environment, an abend S878
  can occur due to a change in processing of the
  MSGRTRN=YES request. Message ICH70001I is now returned
  for a successful verification of the User where
  previously they were not. This results in CEX not
  freeing the unexpected message returned storage.
  

Problem conclusion

• A change has been made to check for any returned messages
  and free the message storage as required
