  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The OM Collector checks the status of a *
  *                      DB2 subsystem by performing an IDENTIFY *
  *                      and then TERMINATE IDENTIFY every 3     *
  *                      seconds. To reduce the overhead the     *
  *                      interval for the checking was increased *
  *                      (maximum interval is 3 minutes).        *
  *                      If AUTODETECT is enabled, it can happen *
  *                      that a DB2 subsystem that is started is *
  *                      only detected after 3 minutes.          *

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  If AUTODETECT is enabled or a DB2 subsystem stops and restarts,
  it can happen that a DB2 subsystem that is started is only
  detected after 3 minutes.

  DB2 provides START and STOP ECBs. This mechanism is used to
  detect status changes of DB2 subsystems. By making use of
  the start and stop ECBs the OMEGAMON Collector can detect status
  changes of monitored DB2 subsystems immediately.
