Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 High Performance Unload.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the unload statement requires      *
  *                      padding for graphic data, either a      *
  *                      conversion error message is issued or   *
  *                      the padded part of the output field is  *
  *                      incorrect. The possible symptoms are    *
  *                      as follows:                             *
  *                      - where the output scheme is EBCDIC,    *
  *                      the leftmost byte of each padding       *
  *                      character is correct but the rightmost  *
  *                      byte that should be the same contains   *
  *                      a unpredictable byte (that is however   *
  *                      usually a lowvalue byte).               *
  *                      - when the output scheme is UNICODE or  *
  *                      ASCII, an irrelevant attempt to         *
  *                      convert the padding character occurs    *
  *                      leading to either wrong output data     *
  *                      (including conversion subsittuion       *
  *                      characters) or a conversion error       *
  *                      stops the processing.                   *
