Error description
The customer receives the error when they open a document Requis iteWeb. Document is attached. Error: An error has occurred: Unable to verify if the HTML Document needs updating:java.lang.E xcetion: Unable to generate the HTML document:com.rational.rjcb.ComException: HRESULT=0x80044e2d: RqWebDoc.Application.GenerateHTMLDoc: Error updating RequisitePr o document info HTML. Error creating HTML document. Method '~' of object '~' failed Additional info: The problem is only with one document. All other documents they have tested work so far, but they have not opened every single document. The document works in 7.0.1.3 but not in 7.1.0.2. They used a b aseline to create the project in 7.1.0.2. Baseline is attached. Customer has tried to remove and readd the ReqWeb component. Their tech rep Simon Ting has installed 7.1.0.2 on his laptop an d cannot reproduce the error with the csutomer's document. Support tests: We set up three images with 7.1 and was only able to reproduce t he error on one server. On these servers we tested at different patch levels. On the one server where the problem occured, the customer's document was added to the learning use case project by creating a doc with the same name and then dropping the custo mer's doc into the project folder. It was then opened and saved in ReqPro so the requirements could be tagged. Then the docume nt was opened in ReqWeb and the error occurred. The attached lo g dir was taken after the error appeared. ReqWeb was then upgra ded to 7.1.0.2 the same version the customer has, and the error was no longer reproducible. I tried rolling ReqWeb back to 7.1 and it was also no longer reproducible. It is unclear why the p roblem only occured on one server as the same steps were taken t o reproduce the issue. Business Impact: The customer states this is the primary requirements document of the project. The issue has reached the VP level on the customer's side. Problem conclusion
The problem was some corrupted bookmarks on the document, and that was causing the error when we try to open that specific document.
