Error description

• This APAR will address the following:
  - FUN2221F Syntax error using the batch utilities to convert
    from 1.2 to 2.1
  - Message CEX5015E and CEX5016E when trying to format IMS
    V11 Connect recorder trace records

  This APAR is addressing the following:
  1.FUN2221F Syntax error using the batch utilities to convert
  from 1.2 to 2.1
  2.Message CEX5015E and CEX5016E when trying tried to
  format IMS V11 IMS Connect recorder trace records
  3.An 0C6 can occur in CEXTECL if the storage returned via
  getmain has not been cleared by Z/OS.
  Preceding the abend message CEX5035I CONTROL HAS BEEN
  PASSED TO THE SECOND HWSTECL0 is issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made to correct the above
  mentioned problems:
  1.Changed the batch utilities to properly recognize
  unpopulated fields in the source repository and
  format the receiving repository with default values.
  2.Corrected the recorder trace formatting utilities to
  recognize and format the AX, AR, and AE recorder
  trace records for the XML adapter.
  3.Ensure any storage returned is cleared before using the
  storage
