• This change request contains different line items:
  1. Persistent data-store (PDS)  Configuration updates to change
  Persistent data-store WINDOW= dataset allocation
  2. Dynamic note change to show the installation status of the
  OMEGAMON subsystem (formerly known as Candle subsystem)

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: To support Tivoli DCR #108 several      *
  *                      changes are required by ICAT team and   *
  *                      ICAT users. This includes the following *
  *                      line items:                             *
  *                      1. Make the OMEGAMON subsystem          *
  *                         (formerly known as Candle subsystem) *
  *                         a mandatory task.                    *
  *                      2. Increase the windows size for the    *
  *                         persistent data store in             *
  *                         the agent (TEMA).                    *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF                               *

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  1. The OMEGAMON subsystem is required by the DDEV
     command which lists DASD device statistics for all or
     specified volumes. Because this command is used by few
     customers, making the OMEGAMON subsystem installation
     mandatory is not recommended. Alternatively, check the
     installation status of the OMEGAMON subsystem and show it on
     the main menu panel to inform the customer about it. If the
     customer requires the DDEV command he needs to install the
     subsystem.
  2. Increase the windows size for the persistent data store in
     the agent (TEMA).
  
  PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
  1. Check the installation/configuration status of the OMEGAMON
     subsystem (formerly known as Candle subsystem) and show it on
     the main menu panel to inform the customer about it.
  2. Increase the window size for the persistent data store in
     the agent (TEMA).
