APAR status

Error description

  • The JMON address getting socket errors:
    
    6/05 8:09:05.715 (2387c000) sreadln: read failed rc(-1),
    errno(1121), EDC8121I CONNECTION RESET.
    
    6/05 8:09:05.715 (2387c000) JM261I Error reading socket, rc: -1,
     port: 5407 (remaining retries: 45).
    
    6/05 8:51:47.841 (2387c000) sreadln: read failed rc(-1),
    errno(1121), EDC8121I CONNECTION RESET.
    
    6/05 8:51:47.841 (2387c000) JM261I Error reading socket, rc: -1,
     port: 8711 (remaining retries: 44).
    
    That result in the following messages from the RDz workstation
    tool:
    
    Unable to connect to JES Job Monitor on port 1234 of host XYZ.
    
    Message from host: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
    
    Client also reported of getting message saying:

    JESJ10019
    
    Unable to connect to JES Job Monitor SocketException: Connection
     Reset
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    
    If I recycle JMON, the problem resolves itself. Seems to happen
    after a period of time(like overnight).

Problem conclusion

  • Program error corrected. Shutdown sockets before close.
