PK86220: LOOP AND ABEND0C4-4 KO2ODSTB+2BE8 ON ZDFVD SCREEN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Loop and ABEND0C4-4 KO2ODSTB+2BE8 (at PK76938 level), doing a
  DFVD command for remote database.  The ABEND0C4 in KO2ODSTB
  resulted from a branch from KOBBASEM+FD6 (at UA45034 level).
  This branch pointed to the middle of a 50001038 (STORE)
  instruction, so instead of the STORE being executed, the
  resulting instruction was actually a x'1038', a LPR (LOAD
  POSITIVE).  Two instructions after this was another 5000103C
  (STORE) and this ABENDed.  The problem was caused by an invalid
  exit address set up in KO2ODSTB.  Instead of the exit address
  pointing to within KO2ODSTB itself, it instead resulted in
  what would turn out to be a branch to KOBBASEM.  Since
  KOBBASEM would be using the base register of KO2ODSTB, any
  branch following this would eventually lead to some error and
  in this case a program check.
  The loop prior to this ABEND involved KOBINTXT, KOBSUBXM and
  KOBBASEM.
