PK86084: ABEND0C4 and ABEND0C1 due to storage overlay while SQLPA is active and DB2 switch is done from information line

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Due to an overlay of a base workarea, a wild branch results
  in a program check.  Results from this overlay can be
  unpredictable.  This overlay occurs just following a
  termination CALL from SQLPA.  The wild branch was from
  KO2PWHCB+B0A (at PK80033 level) upon exit from the CSECT.
  The save area accessed and used had been overlaid.  This only
  occurs when the user switched DB2 from the info line in SQLPA.
  A possible scenario leading to ABENDs follows:
  - LOGON in DB2x, process of different functions (most SQL PA)
  - switch to another DB2-Subsystem DB2y without using LOGOFF
  - process some functions (SQL/PA)
  - switch
  - LOGOFF ---> session hangs
  - Omegamon ABEND0C4, possible high CPU and having to cancel
    the Omegamon STC.
  DUMP titles seen so far:
