Error description

  • Websphere Developer for zSeries 6.0.1.6 - When generating COBOL,
the following error message is received:

  CCUE-055 An error occurred while writing the file F:\KRIM
           Generation\KP35M(KP35MFM.ppt to the file system.


The PPT typically goes to a datset called
?CGHLQ..?SYSTEM..EZEPPT.  If that is the case then it should be
allocated correctly, e.g.  LRECL=80, RECFM=FB.

If it is not allocated correctly, the above message is received.
This message implies the problem is on the client when in fact
the problem is with the way the dataset is allocated on z/OS.  A
better message needs to be issued for this.

  • Ensure the PPT dataset is allocated correctly.
