APAR status

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS panel ADB2CSID Verify CCSID
warning panel is displayed showing both values as 37 when the
terminal emulation product uses older non-queryable 3270 VTAM
definitions.

Local fix

  • Set the "Verify CCSID" option on panel ADB2P2 "Change DB2 Admin
Defaults" ( fastpath =P.2 ) to "NO".

Problem summary

*                 depend on panel ADB2P2 to specify the        *
*                 terminal CCSID because their terminal        *
*                 does not support that feature.               *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Admin Tool was not verifying that user  *
*                      input was five bytes long.              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
DB2 Administration Tool has been changed to add leading zeros as
necessary.
