APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• When a user request a SQL ACTIVITY TRACE or executes a PWH
  PROCESS containing a CRD STEP, RACF and DB2 SYSTEM CATALOG is
  queried for MONITOR1 and MONITOR2 privilege of user id and
  connected secondary ids. Currently the number of SECONDARY IDS
  checked is LIMITED. This might cause problems if user is
  connected to a very large number of secondary ids.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  Increase memory available to store names of RACF groups
  user is connected to during authorization check.
  
  PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
  The OMPE collector supports MONITOR1/2 authorization checks
  for up to 100 secondary ids (RACF groups) when initiating
  a CRD step.
  

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

• If DB2 authorization problems occur, use a TSO user id
  which is connected to a maximum of 10 RACF
  groups to initiate SQL activity trace reports from Thread
  Summary window (or PWH processes containg CRD steps).
