PK85353: SQLCODE -404 MAY OCCUR WHEN QUERY CONTAINS TOP LEVEL UNION WITH A FIELDPROC DEFINED

Error description

• An SQLCODE404 (-404) occurs in DB2 9 for a query that works in
  DB2 V8.  The pared down query looks like this:
  SELECT DISTINCT COL1 FROM TABLE1
  UNION
  SELECT DISTINCT COL1 FROM TABLE1 ;
  There is a FIELDPROC defined on COL1.  Without the FIELDPROC,
  the query returns the expected results.  Adding a UNION ALL
  also works correctly.  Remving DISTINCT also produces the
  correct results.

Problem conclusion

• DB2 is fixed to process fieldproc info for union correctly.
