Error description

  • When using CICS Batch Application Control. For a file that is
    Closed and Disabled with one dataset name, if a CBAC
    Batch Request Utility (BRU) command to Open and Enable with
    CBAC Batch Request DSN (PRIMARY) is attempted, then CBAC
    unquiesces the old datasetname and not the PRIMARYDSN.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    1. For an RLS file that is Closed and Disabled with one dataset
       name, a CICS BAC Batch Request Utility command to Open and
       Enable it with DSN(PRIMARY) will unquiesce the old dataset
       name and not the PRIMARYDSN.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    2. CBAC fails to disable an RLS file with no dataset name.

       example:

         SET GROUP(GGGGG1),OPENSTATUS(CLOSED),ENABLESTATUS(DISABLED)

         CBKSC5007E Error processing request: EIBRESP=0000005D,
         EIBRESP2=00000001, VSAM Code=00000000, Type=FILE,
         Object=ANYNAME1GGGGG1, Text=Unknown EXEC CICS INQUIRE
         DSNAME error

         CBKCI8562E 1 FILE ANYNAME1 RLS INQUIRE error detected:
         EIBRESP=0000005D EIBRESP2=00000001

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    3. CBAC fails to open and enable an RLS file with DSN(PRIMARY)
       if the data set specified by PRIMARY is not known to CICS.
       In this case, the file not being known to CICS means that the
       data set has never been associated with any file in the CICS
       region since the previous time CICS was cold started.

       example:

       SET GROUP(GGGGG1),OPENSTATUS(OPEN),
           ENABLESTATUS(ENABLED),DSN(PRIMARY)

       CBKSC5007E Error processing request: EIBRESP=0000005D,
       EIBRESP2=00000001, VSAM Code=00000000, Type=FILE,
       Object=ANYNAME1GGGGG1, Text=Unknown EXEC CICS INQUIRE DSNAME
       error

       CBKCI8562E 1 FILE ANYNAME1 RLS INQUIRE error detected:
       EIBRESP=0000005D EIBRESP2=00000001

    ----------------------------------------------------------------
