Error description

  • IMS V10 introduced the DBRCGRP parameter and when a customer
implements Automatic Loss Recon Notification they need to
pass this parameter and the IMSPLEX parameter to IMSPA log
selection jobs.  Currently only the IMSPLEX parameter value
is maintained by the IMSPA ISPF dialog.

Local fix

  • Workaround is to edit the JCL generated by the dialog and
specify the DBRCGRP parameter as follows:
//IPIDBRC EXEC PGM=IPIDBRC,PARM=’IMSPLEX=PLEX1,DBRCGRP=GP2’

IMS V10 introduced the DBRCGRP parameter and because the
customer is implementing RECON Automatic Loss Notification
they need to pass this parameter and the IMSPLEX parameter
to IMSPA log selection jobs. Currently only the IMSPLEX
parameter value is maintained by the IMSPA ISPF dialog.

Problem conclusion

  • Update IMSPA System Definitions in the ISPF dialog and
generate correct PARM= values when DBRCGRP is specified.
Note: workaround is to edit the JCL generated by the dialog
and specify the DBRCGRP parameter:

//IPIDBRC EXEC PGM=IPIDBRC,PARM='IMSPLEX=PLEX1,DBRCGRP=GP2'
