PK82672: EVENT RECORD TABLE IN CEXTECL IS INCORRECT FOR EVENT TYPE45

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This APAR will address the following issues:
  1. Some status monitor statistics may be incorrect due to an
     error using the $CEXCOFF macro in CEXEXRTR
  2. The event record table in CEXTECL is incorrect for event
     TYPE45.
  3. The APAR level of module CEXPUBMN is misleading as
     it should be PK79885

  The following are being corrected in this APAR:
  1. Some status monitor statistics may be incorrect due to
  an error using the $CEXCOFF macro in CEXEXRTR
  2. The event record table in CEXTECL is incorrect for
  event type 45
  3. The APAR level of the module is misleading as it
  should be PK79885
  4. If a defined message cannot be loaded, CEX fails to
  initialize with message CEX5098E. IMS Connect ignores
  the missing exit.
  5. Bad performance when switching to the operations panel
  if several inactive ICON systems are in the list
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made in order to correct
  the above mentioned problems:
  1. Corrected use of macro in CEXEXRTR
  2. Corrected event record table in CEXTECL
  3. Changed the APAR level of CEXPUBMN to PK79885 from
  PK74985. Both APARs were packaged in the same PTF
  but PK79885 is more correct for module CEXPUBMN
  4. Changed module CEXMAIN to ignore load failures for
  a message exit and set the message exit as 'disabled'
  status
  5. Corrected the ISPF console to detect inactive systems
  faster and improve the processing code
