PK82404: JVM TERMINATED ERROR EXIT CODE 255 WHEN I ATTEMPT TO CREATE A VI EW ON ONE SPECIFIC STREAM. (CLIENT AND SERVER)

Error description

• Steps to repro the error:
  
  a) I attempt to create a UCM view on a CC project which is reusi
  ng an existing stream. (We always reuse streams in our TU enviro
  nment.)
  
  b) I select a stream to reuse and click on OK.
  
  c) The Specify UCM streams window does *not* display the stream
  I just selected to reuse.
  
  d) The Specify UCM streams window freezes. After about 10 second
  s CCRC throws the error. JVM Terminated Exit code=255
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When stream contents are requested the CCRC server retrieved
  substream, activities and baselines. For this use case only
  substreams were needed. The overhead of retrieving the rest
  of the information was too large.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearCase versions 7.0.1.5
