Error description

• You will get a message "DFHEV9940S DFHDMPA DCT is incorrectly
  specified." if you do not have an appropriate DLBL coded to
  allow the DFHDMPA dump dataset to open correctly.  The message
  is misleading.

  Due to a JCL error whereby the DLBL or TLBL for DFHDMPA (or
  DFHDMPB) is omitted, DFHEVOP may select a printer device type
  to be used to build a DTF. The code that checks for appropriate
  file attributes detects an error as a printer is not suitable
  to handle the dumps, producing:
  
  DFHEV9940S  DFHDMPA DCT is incorrectly specified.
  
  The message incorrectly identifies the file as coming from the
  DCT. CICS also produces message:
  
  DFHDU0306 DBDCCICS Unable to open Transaction Dump Data set
  DFHDMPA
  OPEN ERROR

Problem conclusion

• DFHEVOP has been changed to check that DFHDMPA and DFHDMPB are
  selected to be a sequential disk type or a magnetic tape type,
  and will issue message:
  
  DFHEV9941S DFHDMPx label is missing.
  
  and cause the OPEN to fail if that is not true.
  
  The CICS Transaction Server for VSE/ESA V1.1 Messages and
  Codes GC34-5561-08 will be updated to include the new message
  
  DFHEV9941 S filename label is missing.
  
  Explanation: The open of the DTF for file filename
  was not attempted because CICS has determined that
  there is no DLBL or TLBL filename available in any
  of the label areas.
  
  System Action: The Open of the DTF is not
  attempted, the affected file will not be opened.
  
  User Response: Ensure that either the CICS job,
  the PARSTD/CLASSTD or STDLABEL contains an
  appropriate label statement for the file.
