Error description
Rational Business Developer V7.5.1.1: The following EGL statement is not supported in called programs and should be ignored by the generators: converseVar.segmentedMode = 1; COBOL generation is not ignoring this statement in called programs which causes the following COBOL compiler errors to be generated: 13716 IGYPA3007-S "EZESSM-INITIALIZE-E7" was not defined as a procedure-name. The statement was discarded. 13721 IGYPS2121-S "EZESSM-E7" was not defined as a data-name. The statement was discarded.
Local fix
The workaround for this issue is to remove the statement from the called program.
Problem summary
This is fixed in both 7103 and 7512. The circumvention is to comment out the conversevar.segmentedmode = statements in called programs. This was ignored in VAG and is triggering partial logic in EGL.
Problem conclusion
Software updated.
Temporary fix
