Error description

  • This seems to occur only on a UNICODE table when the pattern
expression of the LIKE is coded in SBCS for a GRAPHIC or
    VARGRAPHIC column.
For HPU 220 and HPU 310:
HPU issues a return code 8 without message in the following case
    (all conditions must match):
    - Table's encoding scheme is UNICODE
    - LIKE predicate on a GRAPHIC or VARGRAPHIC column with a
      pattern coded in SBCS.
    - Select is processed natively
    For HPU 310 only:
Incorrect processing on a SELECT processed natively when using a
    LIKE predicate on a graphic/vargraphic column/expression. The
rows unloaded are not the expected rows. HPU unloads either no
rows, or rows that don't match the LIKE predicate.
    PB 9856
    ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS:
    1. When an image copy is specified that is not in SYSCOPY,
HPU unloads from the actual table. HPU should still unload
from the FIC, even if it is not found in the SYSCOPY.

    1. Modules inzctrl, inzrun, and inzbab were changed to check
correctly when ddnames are allocated per partition.
    2. Module inznode and udbspgsq were changed to process
correctly the LIKE on an UTF16 column.
    3. Modules inzctrlh and inzctrl were changed to process
correctly the return codes returned by function
    inzcontrolCheckCopyDdnOneDdn.
    4. Modules inzdyacc and inzfyacc were changed to detect
correctly the comments in the SELECT in case of FastUnload
    syntax.
    5. Apar replaces content of module INZTPMEM to be consistent
with DBRM INZQUERY and INZQRYV8 that were delivered by APAR
    PK79701.

Problem conclusion

  • APPLy the PTF.
