Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool who use *
    *                 the batch restart program (ADBTEP2).         *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The batch restart program relies upon *
    * the input parameter WORKLIST() and the *
    * checkpoint record held in the table *
    * ADBCHKPT to position the restarted *
    * input stream to the proper point. When *
    * the WORKLIST() parameter is omitted, *
    * the checkpoint record may be lost or *
    * an improper one picked up in its place. *
    *                                                              *
    * To avoid this possibility, the *
    *                      WORKLIST() parameter is a required      *
    * parameter. Omitting this parameter *
    * will cause the processing to end *
    * and message ADB5225E to be issued. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF. *
    ****************************************************************
    When the WORKLIST() parameter is omitted, an improper restart
    point may be used.
