APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Abend 384-1d due to duplicate residual dataset names when
multiple DRF jobs are submitted simultaneously. Abends are
intermittent as duplicate IAU DSNs are not always deleted before
execution if RPTRET=N. Code will be added to ensure IAU DSNs
are deleted when RPTRET=N is present. RPTRET=N is the default.

    * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF *
    ****************************************************************
If RPTRET=N is coded on the REPORT control statement, DRF
deletes DSNs that were left orphaned by the cancellation of
a prior recovery that would otherwise cause a U0384-01D abend
due to attempt to allocate a duplicate DSN.

Problem conclusion

  • AIDS: RIDS/UTIL RIDS/DBS DBS/UTIL
     GEN:
    KEYWORDS:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***
DRF now prevents U0384-01D abends for the reason of duplicate
Data Set Name allocation when the DSN is for use by the
    Integrated Auxiliary Utilities.
