    ****************************************************************
User ran RESTORE SYSTEM utility with FROMDUMP specified.
When the previous backup to tape spanned more than six
dump volumes, the job failed with rc8 and the following
    was received:
ADR351E (002)-MIO (01), UNEXPECTED END OF FILE ON DDNAME...
    and
    IEC710I ...ANOTHER VOLUME EXPECTED
This occurred because RESTORE SYSTEM failed to properly
process all data on all dump volumes when BACKUP SYSTEM
utility generated more than six dump volumes on tape for
    a single source volume.

Problem conclusion

  • RESTORE SYSTEM FROMDUMP logic was changed to properly process
data on all dump volumes created by BACKUP SYSTEM.

Temporary fix
