APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Currently the PHP oci8 module is compiled for use with the
instantclient. This causes problems with the UI when the user
attempts to connect the Ui to the oracle backend.

Workaround is to configure the UI to use the instantclient.  The
engine does work successfully with the full client.

If this configuration is possible, we need to document the
caveats, and if not, documentation should be updated to specify
that the instantclient is required.
