PK76210: PANEL GOC5 PDS CHANGES HANDLING RESULTS IN IEC141I 013-14

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Object Comparison panel GOC5 "Generate Compare Jobs"
  using a PDS with a member name results in an
  IEC141I 013-14,IGG0191B message.
  Example: Will not work.
    Changes file data set name. PM05032A.CHANGES(TEST1)
      Member name . . . . . . . spaces (if Changes file is
                                       an existing PDS)
  Example: Will work.
    Changes file data set name. PM05032A.CHANGES
      Member name . . . . . . . TEST1 (if Changes file is
                                       an existing PDS)
  

Local fix

• Specify a directory space value 40 in the JCL created:
  //CHANGES  DD DSN=USERID.PK76210.PDS.CHANGES(TEST1),
  //            DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE),
  //            DCB=(LRECL=16384,RECFM=VB,BLKSIZE=27998),
  //            SPACE=(CYL,(10,10,40),RLSE),
  //            UNIT=SYSDA

  Panel GOC5 allows  member name to be specified  on same input
  field as Changes dsname input field,  resulting in failure in
  step T03COMP with ABEND=S013 / ABENDS013  Errorv handling has
  been provide in panel GOC5 to prevent member name on the same
  input field as the Changes dsname input field.
  

Problem conclusion

• Incident is now resolved.
