Error description

  • While testing the multi-row fetch feature the following error
    was issued:
    DSQ10498 Non end-user SQLCODE returned from DBM.  SQLCA is as
    follows:
    SQLCODE=-104/ SQLERRM=ROW.ROWS/ SQLERRP=DSNHSM1A/
    SQLERRD(HEX)=000001F6 00000000 00000000 FFFFFFFF 00000103

    * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V8.1 users of SAVE DATA *
    *                 who have started QMF with the multi row      *
    *                 fetch feature enabled.                       *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users who have started QMF with the     *
    *                      multi row fetch feature enabled         *
    *                      (MR=YES) and issued the SAVE DATA       *
    *                      command may experience a MSGDSQ20005    *
    *                      (DSQ20005) 'Sorry, a system error       *
    *                      occurred. Your command may not have     *
    *                      been executed.' Also in the message     *
    *                      will be a SQLCODE104 (SQL Code -104). A *
    *                      MSGDSQ10496 (DSQ10496) with a           *
    *                      SQLCODE199 (SQL code -199) with tokens  *
    *                      'ILLEGAL USE OF KEYWORD ROW.  TOKEN     *
    *                      ROWS  EXPECTED.' may be seen.           *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Under certain circumstances, module DSQIISQL was improperly
    calculating the length of the generating INSERT INTO string
    while processing the QMF SAVE DATA command for multi row insert.
    

Problem conclusion

  • DSQIISQL has been corrected.
