Error description

  • ABENDS0C4 RC04 AT OFFSET +X'188C' OF MODULE FABJDMP9.
The abend occured on MVC instruction x'D203 D210 ECE4' due to a
zeroed R14 which has been previously loaded from R13+x'728'.
The flow should include modules FABJMAIN (PK61849), FABJDMP9
    (PK61849), DFSUCP40 in FABJIDCA RETURNED.

Further analysis shows an unnecessary TCB search to get logn
information. This search is part of the CIC process in FABJMAIN
program. The fix will bypass this step.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HPIC V4R1 Image Copy function *
    *                      terminates with ABEND S0C4 ( ABEND0C4 ) *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
HPIC V4R1 Image Copy function terminates with ABEND S0C4
    ( ABEND0C4 ) at FABJDMP9 CSECT DFSUDMP0 + X'2F3C' when one of
the following statement is specified in the ICEIN control
    statement.
     - CIC or ACIC
     - GROUP with FUNC=CIC or FUNC=ACIC

The cause of the problem is that HPIC V4R1 failed to process the
    Concurrent Image Copy request correctly.

By APAR PK75674, HPIC V4R1 has been modified not to compare the
current TCB with the previous TCB but to use information in the
HPIC V4R1 control block to process the Concurrent Image Copy
    request correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • FABJDMPN has been modified to determine whether the image copy
process is the Batch Image Copy or the Concurrent Image Copy by
information in the HPIC V4R1 control block without comparing the
    TCBs.

FABJDMP7, FABJDMP8, FABJDMP9 and FABJDMPA have been reassembled.
