  • DB2 Object Comparison Tool can fail with abend0c4 in goc2cmp
loadmod, routine GET_HEADER_INFO .
Program GOC2CMP offset X'48EE' instruction:
  05EF          BALR  R14,R15
Abend percolates to LE Abendu4039 rc00 and appears to
be associated with uk40164 and uk40599 levels of loadmod
goc2cmp .

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: GOC2CMP reads DB2 module DSNHDECP into  *
*                      storage and modifies it.                *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Depending  on customer configuration of STEPLIB,  the storage in
which DSNHDECP resides can be protected or not. If it is storage
protected, an 0C4 will occur.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Object Compare V7.2 has been changed to make a local copy of
DSNHDECP before modifying it.
