Error description

  • The update of the workstation client to support the
    multiplatform v3.1 product introduced a prerequisite of
    needing to install one of:
    DB2 Admin client, DB2 Connect, or DB2 UDB.
    This restriction will be removed for z/OS and replaced with
    a warning that certain functionality will not be available.

    *                      windows. DB2 installation required      *
    *                      for the installation.                   *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Install the newest PEClient.                 *

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    Several Enhancement in PEClient. Improved logoff processing,
    messages and menus updated, launch of OSC improved, several fix
    in PWH Client, fix in the DB2 Connect components. No DB2
    installed toleration for z/OS products
    
    PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
    Installation, PEClient and PWH Client have been enhanced.
    
    This PTF corresponds to the code level L1794 of the
    Performance Expert Workstation Client.
    
    This PTF helps to keep server and workstation code
    synchronized. For this reason we recommend applying OMEGAMON
    collector maintenance so that the server has a build level
    of at least yy.ddd, as shown in the following messages at
    server startup:

       FPEV0114I  PTF BUILD IS 08.184    (for V310 UK37843)
                               09.173    (for v410 UK47671)
                               09.181    (for v420 UK47981)
