  • The DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS issues a DROP and then
CREATE for a tablespace when a column is removed from the
clustering index.
This APAR will introduce code to drop and create the index only.

The  DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS issues a DROP and
then CREATE for a tablespace when a column is removed from
the data-partitioned secondary index or partitioning index
(index  that  is  on a  table  that uses  table-controlled
partitioning).

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code is changed to allow such indexes to be dropped without
dropping a tablespace.
