results in msgDSNT408I  SQLCODE -874
DSNT408I SQLCODE = -874, ERROR:  THE ENCODING SCHEME SPECIFIED
   FOR THE TABLE MUST BE THE SAME AS THE CONTAINING TABLE SPACE
   OR OTHER PARAMETERS

*                 Scheme changes to DB2 objects.               *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When  Object Compar e detected a change *
*                      to an encoding scheme, an error message *
*                      was issued  saying that  the change  to *
*                      the  encoding scheme  was ignored,  but *
*                      processing continued and  attempted the *
*                      change.                                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
****************************************************************
Object Compare was issuing a message that was misleading.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Object Compare V7.2 have been changed to issue a warning message
and protect the current encoding scheme.
