    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool V72 running *
    *                 on DB2 Version 9 in new function mode.       *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Data in clone tables is not unloaded    *
    *                      when the base table is to be dropped.   *
    *                      Hidden columns are not unloaded when    *
    *                      using HPU or DSNTIAUL.                  *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Incomplete or incorrect DDL is created  *
    *                      for  objects with clone tables, hidden  *
    *                      columns, or extended index types.       *
    *                                                              *
    *                      ALC operations against objects with new *
    *                      data types(XML, BIGINT, DECFLOAT,BINARY *
    *                      or VARBIN) may lead to errors.          *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Rename database against an implicit     *
    *                      database is invalid.                    *

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *

    ADMIN 720 RESTRICT THE USE OF CLONED TABLE, XML, HIDDEN COLUMN
    FOR DB2 V9 NFDB29 Objects with  certain DB2 V9 characteristics
    may  not  be completely  unloaded  nor  their  DDL  completely
    recreated.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Operations are disallowed against objects with the above
    characteristics.  Panel ADBP9000  "Compliance Check"  or
    message ADB522E:
     'The object has a characteristic which prevents changing the
      object using the DROP or DROP-SC action.'
    is displayed when such a condition occurs.
