PK73080: PANEL ADB2W1 "WORK STATEMENT LIST LIBRARY:" ISSUES A MESSAGE " NO ROWS MATCH" AFTER RACF ICH408I INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool panel ADB2W1 "Work Statement List
  Library:" issues a message "No rows match" when a user attempts
  to access a WSL for which they INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY.
  
  As the RACF ICH408I INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY message is
  optionally displayed to the user the "No rows match" message
  does not describe the error correctly.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool displaying  *
  *                 members of a Work Statement List (WSL) when  *
  *                 they do not have READ  authorization to the  *
  *                 data set.                                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message "No rows match" is displayed    *
  *                      when  the vproblem  is  caused  by a    *
  *                      security  violation for read access.    *
  *                      No  security  violation  message  is    *
  *                      displayed.                              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  DB2 Administration Tool was not properly processing an OPEN
  failure caused by insufficient security authority.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed. An error message panel will now be
  displayed explaining the reason that no rows matched.
