  • When running QMF install job DSQ1BINX while migrating to QMF
R810 NFM receive SQLCODEN679:

Local fix

  • Add a COMMIT statement to the DSQ1BINX logic to clear the DROP
PENDING -679 SQLCODE.

*                      receive an SQL code -679 (SQLCODE679)   *
*                      when running DSQ1BINX.                  *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Users running job DSQ1BINX may receive an SQL code -679 causing
the job to fail. Nothing the user does will fix the SQL code
-679 (SQLCODE679).

Problem conclusion

  • A COMMIT has been added to job DSQ1BINX to force completion of
the DROP INDEX statements so that the CREATE INDEX statements
may be processed.
