PK72889: OPTION TO PRODUCE GDDM OUTPUT ON A PRINTER PRODUCES NO OUTPUT.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In  module IPIGEPGF the code issues a CHTERM to close the chart
  and then tests for terminal or printer output. If terminal then
  an ASREAD is issued which will copy the current GDDM "page" to
  the screen. However if a printer is the target then this action
  is skipped, as it should be.
  The code iterates to issue another SPINIT for the next chart,
  if required.
  At no point was the page holding the chart sent to the target
  device, an FSFRCE is required to perform this action.
  For terminal operations the ASREAD performs this action.
  We will Add FSFRCE call to ensure "page" is sent to the target
  device.
