Error description
Upon IMS shutdown with a /CHE PURGE and an IMS cold start, running IQCSELCT to requeue messages fails when using the CHKPT LAST command format. With a prior IMS /CHE DUMPQ all works as expected. In the failing case, QCF is not finding the start checkpoint and as a result is getting CC=08 and informational message IEC130I is also received: IEC130I LOGIN DD STATEMENT MISSING Comment (added 9-14-10): As a result of this APAR, QCF code was added to check for consecutive log records. This includes: - each next log record to have LSN greater than the previous. - each next log record to have a timestamp greater than the previous. If the log records are not consecutive, read log stops and select ends with RC=08 along with the following error message being received: IQC3025E Base CheckPoint not found APAR PM22530 was created to provide a new error message in such rare case of this encounter.
