Error description

• In Object Comparison Tool, T03COMP issue with MERGE results in
  GOC2CMP - Error(s) found. Please review output.
  Additonal Symptoms: RC0 RC00 RC8 RC08

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Compare fails with return code 08/RC08  *
  *                      that is  generated  by merge.  But the  *
  *                      messages from Merge are not reported.   *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply The PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Merge when called by compare, upon return code 08/RC08, was
  reporting messages only when debug is turned on.
  

Problem conclusion

• Resolved. When compare fails with return code 08 that is given
  out by merge, the error messages will be sent to SYSPRINT even
  when a merge REPORT is not requested.
